Doris received her Bachelor of Science degree (Biology) from the University of Western Ontario and went on to graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 1992. In 1999, she completed a Fellowship in Chiropractic Sports Sciences.

Her interest in acupuncture began with studies in Toronto in 1996 and over the years has taken her as far as China and Sri Lanka to further her skills. She has completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program through McMaster University. Using neurofunctional acupuncture, she succeeds in developing effective strategies tailored to the specific needs of her individual patients.

Perpetually curious and committed to staying current with best practices and emerging trends, Doris upgrades her knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. As a mother, she experienced first-hand the benefits of both pre- and post-natal chiropractic and acupuncture care. Over 30 years in a physically demanding profession have also reinforced the value of her own preventative care and the role it plays in aging healthy.

Whether dealing with white collar stress or athletic injuries, acute pain or complex persistent pain, Doris focuses on delivering superior care by creating customized treatment plans. She leverages the benefits of gentle manipulation, soft tissue therapy, medical acupuncture and focused exercise to optimize her patients’ health and performance.

She is an assessor for the Schroeder Pain Assessment and Rehabilitation Research Centre (SPARC) at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (UHN). In the past, Doris has also taught at CMCC as a small group leader helping third year students improve their clinical skills.

She is one of those crazy commuters who rides her bike to work year-round, does her core exercises (most days!) and will remain forever inspired by the resiliency of the human body and nervous system.

Doris is licensed by the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and is a member in good standing of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the Ontario Chiropractic Association and the Acupuncture Council of Ontario.

Dr. Sinclair has practiced in Toronto’s downtown core since 1996 upon graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). She also holds and honours degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University.

Following an initial course of acupuncture study in Sri Lanka in 1994, she has furthered her study of acupuncture over the decades at both McMaster University in the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program and at programs offered through CMCC and elsewhere. In conjunction with acupuncture and gentle joint manipulation, Darcie uses a wide range of soft tissue techniques to help her patients achieve a wide range of goals. While many of her patients work in an office environment, she also treats many weekend, amateur and elite athletes. She believes in creating a customized treatment plan for each individual with a focus on getting the patient back to feeling well and doing what they want to do as soon as possible.

Darcie believes that ongoing education, is essential to providing excellent care to her patients. She is constantly striving to find new ways to help patients optimize their health and wellbeing.
